The long-awaited Summer Holidays are nearly here! All parents want the best experience possible for their kids. As educators, linguists, and parents ourselves, we at Spell Languages have built a Summer Camp Program that brings everything a kid could want. Central to Geneva, we offer camps in English and French, including immersive and fun adventures, carefully selected themes, passionate and creative teachers, daily outings to local sites, games in the park, arts and crafts activities, songs, stories, and much more!
Week 1 Weekly Theme: ABC Geneva
Geneva’s alphabet is in trouble: several important letters have mysteriously disappeared! Inspired by the book ABC Geneva, campers will spend the week from June 29th to July 3rd solving a city-wide mystery by uncovering clues hidden in Geneva’s history, nature, neighbourhoods, artistic heritage, and international institutions. From decoding historical messages and running nature-based experiments by the lake, to mapping urban clues, and exploring Geneva’s global role, campers will discover the city in new ways. At its heart, the week invites children to see Geneva not just as home, but as a vibrant city full of stories, culture, and global connections.
Immersive Language Play
Campers will learn new vocabulary in a playful, hands-on way through investigation and discovery, decoding clues, solving word puzzles, as they document findings, build theories, and present their discoveries.
Daily Activities
During this week-long adventure, campers will explore Geneva through a series of interactive challenges, city explorations, and discovery games such as...
- race and strategize to protect and capture each other’s flag;
- explore Geneva to match close-up photos with their real-life locations;
- form letters and words using your body;
- colour hunting challenge: roam the city with cameras, photographing objects that match a pre-assigned colour.
Daily Crafts
Because every discovery inspires creation, campers will express what they learn through hands-on artistic projects and collaborative making, including:
- create a personalized ABC book featuring letters and landmarks from Geneva;
- design a small guidebook highlighting places to visit, sounds, and experiences in Geneva;
- sculpt and decorate miniature versions of chosen landmarks from clay;
- build a 3D model of Old Town with cardboard.
Daily Outings
Each day, children will head outdoors to explore Geneva and its surroundings, experiencing nature, culture, and the city from new perspectives through exciting outings such as one full-day adventure to Mount Salève, La Jonction, Bois de la Bâtie, a boat ride on Lake Geneva aboard the “mouettes”… and, as a special highlight, a Meet & Greet with the book’s author!

- Free childcare from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. outside the camp hours;
